Get ready for Earth Day the Natural Bug Way! Learn how to safely deal with insect problems in your backyard. The focus for this two-hour garden seminar includes;
- insect identification and lifecycles,
- attracting native pollinators, predators and butterflies to your garden,
- cultural pest control methods
- and how to make and use handy tools of the trade.
Turn over a new leaf and see what the macro world is doing in the city!

Backyard Composting
Learn how to make great compost, City Farmer style in this one hour, hands on workshop. Offered monthly. Instructor: City Farmer staff. Free.
Come anytime Monday -Saturday, 9am - 4pm
Wormshops
This popular City of Vancouver program teaches apartment dwellers how to recycle their food waste using a worm bin. Usually Saturdays beginning in April. Call for the next available class. Instructor: City Farmer staff. $25 includes worm kit. Note that children's wormshops are also available through our school program. Call for more info.
